Redbarn is a delightful log cabin nestled at the foot of Cavehill Mountain, Belfast.

It is the idyllic blend of both city and rural living, as it is based just a ten minute drive outside the city centre. After a long walk over the Belfast hills or a busy day of sightseeing, you can hunker down with a cosy blanket on the rocking chair, listening to the sounds of the forest.

The Space

Everything you need to know about your stay

The cabin has 3 rooms - main room, bedroom and bathroom. The main room has a kitchen, large dining/work table and 2 seating areas. One of these seating areas has a sofa bed that can sleep 1 person.

The bedroom is a bespoke double bunk bed that sleeps 4. The bottom bunk is cosy and enclosed, the top bunk has a view of Belfast lough and can be used as a bed or as a reading hideaway. Maximum capacity is 4 adults but can sleep a young family of 5, double bunk bed in bedroom and single sofa bed in living area.

Outside there is a handcrafted outdoor seating area which is partially covered from the rain and a long garden.

Hiring the space

We are available for hire for private events

Redbarn can be hired for private events - previous events include photo shoots, filmmaking, yoga, breathwork, foraging and creative writing workshops. If you'd like to hire the space for a private event, get in touch at maeve@cavehillredbarn.com

We had a fantastic time at Maeve's. Location is fantastic, getting in and out to belfast was so easy and so much in the area too. 2 adults and 3 kids and we were so comfortable. Games and so much space for them to play, cooking facilities the works. I've already recommended to my friends! Thanks again!!

Redbarn Cavehill is located in a residential area at the entrance to Cavehill country park.

Local amenities such as SPAR, chemists, cafes, pubs are only a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Belfast castle and children's adventure play-park are a 20 minute walk away through the country park.

Convenient to both the M1 and A1 motorways, the Giant's causeway is 1hr 10mins drive and Dublin city centre is 2hr drive.
