Painting “en plein air”

Bring out your creative side while painting outside, just as many famous painters have before. You are painting not just what you see but what you feel, the sunlight as it changes through the day.
Paint & Pour
From £50
Paint and pour is a sociable art event where you will complete an acrylic painting on canvas. No previous art experience or skills are required, as this event aims to encourage self esteem and the joy of creativity.
During the 2 hour session you are gently guided step by step on how to complete your painting; learning how to mix and apply colours. All art materials are provided and you are welcome to being your favourite tipple.
This is a really good fun event with the added bonus of bringing your very own masterpiece home.
Paint & Yoga

Spend the day immersed in beauty of Cavehill, elbow deep in clay at the potters wheel, followed by relaxing yoga and healing sound bowls in the luxury of Redbarn log cabin…pure bliss.

Originally from a Ceramics background, owner Maeve has been working 'En Plein Air' with acrylics for the past few years
Living at the foot of Cavehill and enjoying the instinctive qualities of painting outside, Cavehill is a recurring theme in her work. She paints in a spontaneous and passionate way often using found objects around her to score into the paint. She fully embraces the colours and textures created through the layering of paint and these other materials.
Maeve has a deep appreciation of nature and an awareness of the human need to be part of it. She is interested in the history of Cavehill and its links with the industrial, political, environmental and cultural changes of Belfast city. Cavehill stands proud above these changes and holds many memories that connect us as humans to the past and present.
